The Registered Dietician will ensure our seniors are eating balanced and nutritious meals.


Schedule: This is a full-time, exempt (35 hour/week) position. Monday-Friday from 7am to 3pm. No nights or weekends.

Job Activities

  1. Job activities of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
  2. Plan and review monthly menus; complete menu analysis and enter recipe information into the State database
  3. Plan/promote and conduct evidence-based nutrition workshops at local community venues for staff, consumers and community members with a minimum of 2 per meal site per year
  4. Conduct nutrition consultations/assessments and respond to consumer inquiries
  5. Conduct regular kitchen inspections for current caterers, meal sites and outside contracts
  6. Monitor consumer feedback on meals based on surveys, dining site staff feedback, focus groups and employee feedback; incorporate feedback into menu planning and caterer's performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Certified Registered Dietician
  • Experience working with quantity food service operations and menu development.
  • Experience with nutrition education and counseling
  • Strong analytical, managerial, communication, and leadership skills-
  • The ability to manage multiple high priority objectives/projects
  • Understanding of available State/Community Programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels, including staff, board members and external partners
  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or as a team
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved
  • Expertise in the following platforms: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Zoom and other web-based applications

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects weighing up to 25 -50 pounds
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs unassisted
  • Ability to travel into the community – private transportation required
  • Work requires regular standing, stooping, and bending
