This is a full-time, non-exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer a hybrid remote schedule (2 days/week in the office) and the option of a flexible 4-day work week. Our office is located in Malden, MA.


Compensation: Starting annual salary is $70,000. Enjoy benefits that start as of day 1 of employment and our generous paid time off package.


The Recruiter is responsible for all efforts surrounding recruitment and attracting new talent into the organization. This position will have full-cycle recruitment responsibilities including but not limited to candidate sourcing and pre-screening, coordination, tracking, hiring and on-boarding

What you'll be Responsible for:

Essential functions of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

  • Drive the recruiting process including sourcing, screening, interviewing and advising in the selection process by working with hiring manager to understand skills and competencies required for the open positions
  • Collaborate with HR Director and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop proactive, innovative sourcing/recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Prepare and extend employment offer letters to candidates; upon offer acceptance, gathers documents from candidates to initiate background screening and on boarding process ensuring that new employees complete required paperwork and are on boarded efficiently and timely
  • Develop and execute proactive, innovative recruitment/sourcing strategies to create a strong pipeline of diverse, qualified applicants, such as job fairs, virtual hiring events, etc.
  • Enter and maintain current, accurate and consistent information in the applicant tracking system, including but not limited to job posting content, applicant tracking and response, anecdotal information, and other required data
  • Provide reporting on current recruitment status by position to Human Resources Director and hiring manager on a consistent basis
  • Organize, lead and document post-interview feedback
  • Advise staff and provide guidance around HR on-boarding and recruitment policies, processes and procedures
  • Maintain on-boarding material, including but not limited to updating orientation PowerPoint and forms
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Maintain the organizational structure by updating job descriptions for all positions
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Operate with a sense of urgency and demonstrate a willingness to take imitative and an aptitude for learning
  • BA/BS degree with 3 years' experience, including recruiting in non-profit and/or human services environments
  • Proficient in using an applicant tracking system – Applicant Pro (preferred), MS Office suite, and social media recruiting, internet research
  • Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA and other related employment laws and guidelines
  • Continuously seeks to improve efficiency and/or simplification of processes
  • Fosters strong working relationships with peers and management in order to develop efficient and effective cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions and maintain confidentiality
  • Must be detail oriented, well organized and proven ability to manage multiple projects and expectations
