Protective Services Manager
The Protective Services Manager is responsible for implementing department policies and supporting Protective Services Caseworkers to ensure compliance with Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) regulations and quality of Protective Services Program.
Schedule: This is a full-time, non-exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer a hybrid remote schedule (2 days a week in the office) and the option of a flexible 4-day work week once training is completed. No nights. No weekends

Job Activities
Key activities of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
- Lead in supervising, mentoring and training Protective Services Caseworkers to ensures the effective and efficient management of Protective Services casework
- Provide supervision of investigation, case planning, consultation and record review for compliance with Protective Services regulations.
- Assure compliance and monitor EOEA and agency policies and procedures related to protective service
- Provide staff guidance and support on case direction
- Process referrals and assign intakes per EOEA regulations
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Monitor staff retention, turnover, and satisfaction
- Cross collaboration with all departments for best practices
- Coordinate and assist in the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs
Qualifications:
- A Masters or higher degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Development, Nursing, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Public Policy, or Gerontology, and at least two years of experience in counseling, casework, case management, preferably in a Protective Services or crisis intervention role;
OR
- A Bachelors' degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Development, Nursing, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Public Policy, or Gerontology plus at least three years of experience in counseling, casework or case management providing protective or crisis intervention services.
- 1-3 years of management/supervisory experience in a human service/community-based setting
- Strong analytical, managerial, communication, and leadership skills
- The ability to manage multiple objectives/projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels,
- Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or as a team
- Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved
- Expertise in the following platforms: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Zoom and other web-based applications
- Experience working in a 501c3 organization and managing in a union environment strongly preferred
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to climb up and down stairs unassisted
- Ability to travel to the community to perform visits at clients' homes
- Work requires regular standing, stooping, and bending
