The Chief Operating Officer will serve as the senior executive team member responsible for program compliance and growth, efficient effective operations, and a high performing team, and oversee all operational and administrative function of the organization.

This is a full-time, exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer a hybrid remote schedule. Our office is located in Malden, MA with ample free parking!

Top 5 Key Activities:

  1. Develop and implement effective systems, processes, and policies to optimize performance, and insure excellent and consistent service to our clients
  2. Oversee successful execution of all programs and management of Program Directors
  3. Ensure effective risk management tools are in place to meet and maintain compliance
  4. Discover and support growth opportunities for revenue generation, and manage contract acquisition and existing relationships
  5. Spearhead new initiatives and work with Program Directors to execute new business strategies

Other Activities:

  1. Conduct regular program evaluation to ensure compliance and dual ROI
  2. Serve as a mentor and strategic partner to Program Directors to ensure they are meeting program requirements and performance expectations
  3. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  4. Create and manage budgets for program operations

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in business or related field required; or Registered Nurse or Licensed Social Worker with at least ten years of management and supervisory experience in a health care, home health, or human service setting
  • Strong analytical, managerial, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven supervisory and project management skills
  • Extensive experience with organization growth and change management
  • The ability to manage multiple high priority objectives/projects
  • Experience leading implementation strategies as a result of merger and acquisitions
  • Extension knowledge of federal and state home and community based services (HCBS) programs
  • In-depth understanding of the Massachusetts health and home care industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels, including staff, board members and external partners
  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or as a team
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved.
  • Expertise in the following platforms: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Zoom and other web-based applications
  • Experience working in a 501c3 organization and managing in a union environment strongly preferred.
